I want to share with you one of my favorite beverages – cacao.
This can be a hot cozy cacao in the winter or cold refreshing cacao in the summer. I love it all year round.
Cacao the superhero
Raw cacao is called powerful superfood for a reason.
Cacao has some amazing health benefits. To name a few – it has high antioxidant activity, it lowers high blood pressure, supports immune system, helps in regulating sugar levels in the body, balances cholesterol levels, improves cardiovascular health, improves brain health, relieves bronchial asthma, prevents cancer and obesity, speeds up healing, helps with depression, enhances mood, boosts energy. The Incas considered it the drink of gods.
I make my cacao the easiest way possible and it’s ready in no time. Make yourself a cup of cacao today and enjoy every sip!
You will need:
1 – 2 teaspoons of (raw) cacao
1 teaspoon of some natural sweetener (I like to use agave or honey)
pinch of cinnamon
1 cup of milk (I like to use almond or soy)
Add cacao, sweetener and cinnamon into a cup and add a tablespoon of cold water. Stir until it becomes smooth. Pour the warm milk and stir it all together. Voila!
